Overview
The operator of EightSplit ("we") explains how information is handled in the EightSplit app and this website (together, the "Service"). No account is required. Race and training records stay on your device by default.
This website uses no cookies, analytics, or advertising. Cloudflare may process delivery and security logs under its own policy.
Information we handle
Records you enter
Race results, split times, training details, weights, distances, repetitions, RPE, notes, and selected photos or videos stay on your device and are not sent to our servers.
iCloud sync (iOS only)
When a Premium user enables sync, records and attachments are sent to a private CloudKit database tied to that Apple Account. They are not made public to other users.
Purchases (iOS only)
Apple processes payment. RevenueCat provides product identifiers, purchase, renewal and expiration status, and an anonymous app user ID. We do not receive card details.
Diagnostics and usage
Limited feature-use events are always sent to Firebase Analytics, while crash, device, OS, and app-version diagnostics are always sent to Firebase Crashlytics. Record contents and media are not sent.
Advertising and consent
The free version uses Google Mobile Ads and UMP. Depending on region and consent, Google may process advertising identifiers, IP address, device information, and ad interactions. Records are not used for ad targeting.
Service providers
Providers process information under their policies and applicable agreements. We do not sell the contents of your records except for disclosures required by law.
Android version
- Records are stored only on this device. There is no cloud sync and no automatic backup, so they are lost if the app is uninstalled or you switch devices. Use the in-app JSON / CSV export to keep your own copy.
- There are no in-app purchases, so no purchase information is processed.
- Ads use Google Mobile Ads and UMP. Consent handling matches the iOS version, but Android has no App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- The app is distributed through Google Play, and the data described here matches the Google Play Data safety declaration.
Choices, retention, and deletion
EightSplit is generally intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children under 16.
- Analytics and Crashlytics are always enabled.
- Where applicable, advertising privacy choices can be changed in the app.
- On-device records remain until deleted in the app or the app is removed.
- iCloud records are deleted when an in-app deletion syncs or you manage the app’s iCloud data.
- Apple, RevenueCat, and Google retain purchase and diagnostic data under their policies.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable safeguards against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. Providers may process information outside your country of residence.
Changes
We may update this policy as features, SDKs, or laws change. Material changes will be announced on this page or in the app.

Email us with privacy questions, consent withdrawal, or deletion requests. Do not include sensitive record content.
