Scope and service
These Terms govern the EightSplit app and related website. By using the Service, you agree to them.
EightSplit is an independent, unofficial personal tool for recording and reviewing race and training information. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by any organizer, sports body, or trademark owner.
License and prohibited conduct
We grant a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right for personal, non-commercial use. You may not violate law, gain unauthorized access, interfere with the Service, infringe rights, submit fraudulent requests, or redistribute the app or content, except where law permits.
Apps obtained from the App Store are also subject to Apple’s Standard EULA. Mandatory law and Apple’s required terms prevail in a conflict.
Your records
You are responsible for what you enter and for appropriate backups. We do not guarantee accuracy. Do not enter another person’s personal or protected information without permission.
Premium subscription
- Premium is an auto-renewable subscription with no ads, deeper analytics, goals, iCloud sync, and up to 10 photos or videos per record.
- The price, currency, and tax shown on the purchase screen and App Store apply.
- If an eligible annual-plan trial is shown, the annual price is charged when it ends.
- It renews and charges your Apple Account unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel in Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
- Restore purchases in the app. Apple handles refunds under its rules.
- Existing on-device records remain after expiration, though Premium features may be limited.
Health, safety, and disclaimers
The Service is for record-keeping and general information, not medical, health, training, or competition advice. Consider your condition and environment and consult a qualified professional when needed.
We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, completeness, fitness for purpose, or accuracy. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or special loss, lost profit, or lost data. Non-waivable consumer rights remain unaffected.
Changes and termination
We may change or suspend the Service for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or improvement. Material changes will be communicated reasonably, and use may be restricted for a material breach.
Governing law
Japanese law applies where it does not conflict with mandatory law. Consumer rights under the law of your residence are not limited.
